Background
Our recycling PR team was asked to generate excitement about the launch of CO2Sense Yorkshire, a new organisation created help businesses and organisations prosper and grow in the new low carbon economy.
Solution
We organised a launch and reception at the Royal Armouries in Leeds, the city’s premier event venue. Key speakers from the business community and regional development agency Yorkshire Forward, a key backer of the CO2Sense Yorkshire, outlined why they were supporting the new organisation.
The organisation’s vision and values were summarised in a brochure that was specially produced by Pelican and handed to all attendees on the night. The subsequent drinks reception provided a great opportunity to showcase some of the projects being backed by CO2Sense Yorkshire and a great networking opportunity.
Brilliant Results
Over 250 people attended the event from across the Yorkshire & Humber region, ensuring it was one of the biggest sustainability events of the year. A follow-up programme of activity ensured that those unable to attend were not left out and all of the target audience were sent a copy of the launch brochure.
