When our food PR team were asked to put Taveners ‘Proper Sweets’ on the map, we took our client at their word and created a map of the UK out of sweets.
We surveyed 1,500 people to determine each region’s favourite confectionery. Using the results we commissioned the UK’s leading food artist, Paul Baker, to create the first map of the UK made entirely out of sweets. Pictures of the stunning map and a press release on the research results were sent to national and regional press.
The story caught the imagination of the tabloids with coverage in The Sun, The Mirror and the Daily Mail. The story was also picked-up by Scottish TV who ran a live studio interview with Paul Baker on their evening magazine programme. The campaign was seen by an audience of 6 million people and created coverage worth over £100,000, helping position Taveners as the UK’s widest range of traditional confectionery.
